Merapi was never been enough to explored! A marvelous farewell party with
some friends of mine in
Summit of Mt.Merapi isn’t enough to enjoy this active
volcanoin. Bandang, member of my coasistensi group (A.2014.01 #IcikAmu)
challanged us to enjoy Merapi view from another side. He promised us that we
had saucer eyed due to the beauty of Merapi only after hiked for 90 minutes.
Administratively, this mountain is located in 4 area include Sleman, Magelang,
Klaten and Boyolali. It was on January
10
th 2015, I and 9 member of #IcikAmu ride our motorcycle stoutly to
Turgo. Turgo village is located in Pakem sub district, Sleman regency,
Yogyakarta. Having Kaliurang gas station as our meeting point, We started our
journey at 06.30 WIB, head to north and follow the route to Kaliurang street,
keep going north for about 26 km and safely arrived in Turgo at 07.30 WIB.

#Selfie before hiking! :D |
Its Turgo! Located in the height of Merapi slope enables Turgo to have rich
natural. The air was cool also refreshing body and soul. We parked our
motorcycle in basecamp exactly under trekking way to Merapi from Turgo. Before
that, we did some warm-up than ready to enjoy one of Allah’s wonderful
creature!
|
warm-up is good for your healthy! |
The trekking tour is not as hard as my trekking to Merapi from Boyolali. One
of my friend, Irna is smart, she borrowed binocular from her community in
collage. By using this tools, we could watch some of the beautiful bird
closely. It reminds me to activity of “bird watching” when I was in first
semester. That was so diverting! During our trekking tour, we enjoy seeing
forest, Parangtritis Beach, and also the diversity of the flora. Bandang also
told us when we passed one of the river. It is Boyong River, one of thw river
that is passed by materials during the last nearly eruption of Merapi in 2010.

Than, Finally! After took the trekking for 90 minutes, our exhausting
suddenly changed to cheerful. How can’t it be? The view was soooooo amazing and awesome! Allah SWT
blessed our journey with nice wheather. With background graveyard of Syekh
Jumadil Qubro, Summit of Merapi Mountain looks so magnificient! Knowing exactly
our exited, Bandang warn us not to kinking up a row. Before we took picture, we
prayed for Syekh Jumadil Qubro through send AlFatihah.

Graveyard of S Jumadil Q with Merapi's Background |
Just FYI, this graveyard is often visited by the pilgrims who want to pray
or in search of enlightenment. Every year, a ritual is held to commemorate the
Syeikh. This ritual is held every 1 Syuro (month in Javanese calendar). The
procession is done by parading the offerings from one springs to another and
ended nearby the graveyard. Well, Indonesia is a country with its culture
richest.

their food and drink than shared together! Bandang says, its better we took the
anorganic garbage in our way back home. We collected in plastic bag. Arrived in
basecamp, we realize that we have collected so many garbage provable through a
huge plastic bag! Dunno why but we gaze the garbage with relief.
